Job description
The Credit Analyst's primary responsibilities are to assist lenders by providing thorough analysis of borrowers' financial information; spread and analyze organizational and personal financial statements; study and evaluate the information; prepare appropriate analyses on real estate deals; and prepare written reports for the lenders. It is critical that, besides possessing excellent technical skills, the individual in this role understands the value of customer relationships, and, therefore, operates with professional respect for the customer as the Credit Analyst will have frequent direct contact with customers. In addition it is important for the individual to demonstrate great flexibility and openness to change as lending finds new and improved methods of operating, marketing, and selling our services. This position offers the opportunity to work across all lines of lending products.
??Performs research through available sources to complete credit analysis or to assist lending officers in credit decision process.
??Obtains all available and necessary financial data from client and other sources to ensure thorough analysis and obtains up to date financial statements when due on an account.
??Performs financial statement spreading and analysis on all assigned credits. This includes new loans and annual reviews for existing loans. Real estate analyses will include multi- year operating projections, development of cash flows, budgets, and analysis of local real estate markets.
??Analyzes and reviews market studies, appraisals, business plans, and any related and valuable real estate data - can draw sound conclusions based upon relevant data.
??Performs specialized reviews of collateral or loan exposures to customers as requested by lenders.
??Provides critical assessment of the financial position, management team, and program of potential borrowers and assembles questions pertaining to an organization's financial and programmatic capacity.

??Bachelor's Degree required.
??Finance and/or accounting study a plus.
??Advanced course work a plus and at least two years' relevant experience working in financial analysis, lending support, or similar bank function.
??Experience with Small Business lending a plus.
??Ability to prepare and analyze multi-year operating projections, real estate development budgets and cashflows
??Ability to read, analyze, and spread financial statements and tax returns for both businesses and individuals
??Possess sound credit skills necessary to evaluate loan requests and make sound recommendations to loan officers
